The Isle of Man Light Horse Society Riding Club recently accepted an invitation to send a team of horses/ponies and their riders to compete at the prestigious horse show ‘The Festival of Champions’ in Rochdale.
Four of the club’s young riders and their ponies made the journey at the end of October to Birchinley Manor Equestrian Centre to compete in the largest horse show in the north west.
Competing against the cream of over fifty riding clubs, the Manx team came home with one championship and one reserve championship in the Working Hunter classes and a reserve championship in the Show Jumping.
This was a wonderful achievement and the results were a great credit to the club.
