Manx Sports Aid recipient Hannah Goodby this week returned to the Island after a very successful showjumping trip.

Having spent the first 10 days at a professional training yard certainly helped to prepare for the National Blue Chip Winter showjumping championships at Solihull, Birmingham.

In her first competition - 1.15m Open - Hannah, riding Montys Star, jumped a superb round and went into the lead which held till the very last competitor pipped them into second place.

The following day Hannah and Monty were in the prize line again with a 10th place finish.

After the Blue Chip Championships Hannah travelled to Chepstow for a three day show at David Broome's family showground.

Monty hit top form with a first and third place in the hotly contested National Foxhunter competitions which secured a place in the semi-finals later in the year.

Hannah would like to thank the Manx Sports Aid Foundation and the Isle of Man Steam Packet for their unfailing support.
